Product description
The L1 beam is typically supplied as rectangular hollow section (RHS), square hollow section (SHS), or I-section as per approved drawings, with a common size of 100 x 50 x 3 mm RHS. Span and layout follow structural and shop drawings. Maximum allowable deflection is L/250.
Fabrication includes cutting, drilling, and welding before galvanizing. Welds are continuous and smooth to AWS D1.1, with no sharp edges or burrs. Minimum zinc coating thickness is 85 microns; surfaces must be free from bare spots, runs, or excessive buildup.
Connections are bolted and/or welded using hot-dip galvanized or stainless steel fasteners, minimum bolt grade 8.8. Install true to line, level, and alignment within +/-2 mm. Damaged galvanizing on site should be repaired with zinc-rich paint (>=90% Zn).
