1. Material

• Aluminium Alloy: 6063-T6

• Standard: ASTM B221 / EN 573 / EN 755

• Minimum Yield Strength: ≥ 215 MPa

2. Member Description

L2 – Secondary Aluminium Beam

• Section: Rectangular / Box Section (as per approved drawings)

• Typical Size: 75 × 50 × 3 mm (or as indicated in drawings)

• Function: Secondary horizontal structural member supporting cladding / panels / L1 beam

• Span & Spacing: As per structural and shop drawings

• Maximum Allowable Deflection: L/300

3. Fabrication

• Shop-fabricated from extruded aluminium sections

• Precise cutting and drilling to maintain alignment

• All edges smooth, rounded, and free of burrs

• Welding (if required): TIG welding in accordance with AWS D1.2

• Free from cracks, dents, twists, or surface defects

4. Connections

• Fixed to L1 or P-members using bolted or welded connections as detailed

• Fasteners: Stainless Steel SS304 / SS316

• Neoprene / isolation pads to be provided between dissimilar metals

5. Surface Finish

• Powder Coating: Minimum 60–80 microns, polyester based

• Anodizing: Minimum 20–25 microns

• Color and texture: As approved by Architect

• Finish to be UV-stable and corrosion-resistant

6. Installation

• Installed plumb, level, and aligned with primary structure

• Fixing tolerance: ±2 mm

• Protective films removed after completion
